Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Malta adventures, bookings, and travel planning.

How far in advance should I book activities? +
We recommend booking at least 3-5 days in advance during peak season (June-September). In shoulder season, 1-2 days is usually sufficient. Popular activities like Blue Lagoon boat tours and scuba diving fill up quickly, so earlier is always better.
What happens if the weather is bad on my booked day? +
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe for water activities, operators will either reschedule your activity to another day free of charge or provide a full refund. You'll be notified at least 12 hours in advance if conditions look unfavorable.
Are activities suitable for children? +
Many of our activities are family-friendly! Boat tours, snorkeling safaris, and island tours generally welcome children aged 4+. Each activity listing specifies minimum age requirements and difficulty levels. Contact us for personalized family recommendations.
Do I need experience for scuba diving? +
No prior experience is needed for beginner diving sessions. Our PADI-certified instructors provide thorough briefings and pool training before your open-water dive. We offer experiences for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced divers exploring wrecks and caves.
Is equipment provided for activities? +
Yes! All necessary equipment is included in the activity price unless stated otherwise. This includes snorkeling gear, diving equipment, kayaks, life jackets, and safety gear. You only need to bring personal items like swimwear, sunscreen, and a towel.
How do I get to the activity meeting points? +
Most operators offer hotel pickup and drop-off services, especially for full-day tours. Meeting points are typically in central locations like Sliema, Valletta, or Buฤกibba. Detailed directions and meeting instructions are sent to your email after booking.
What is the cancellation policy? +
Most activities offer free cancellation up to 24-48 hours before the start time. Some premium experiences may require longer notice. The specific cancellation policy is clearly stated on each activity page. Weather-related cancellations always receive a full refund or free rebooking.
Can I book activities for a large group or event? +
Absolutely! We specialize in group bookings for corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family reunions, and team-building activities. Groups of 10+ often receive special rates. Contact us directly for customized group packages and we'll create a tailored itinerary.
Is travel insurance necessary for Malta activities? +
While not mandatory, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers adventure activities, water sports, and medical emergencies. European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC/GHIC) are accepted in Malta but may not cover all adventure-specific incidents. It's a small investment for great peace of mind.
What currency is used in Malta? +
Malta uses the Euro (โ‚ฌ). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but we recommend carrying some cash for smaller vendors, beach kiosks, and tips. ATMs are readily available across all main towns and tourist areas.
